Donald Frederick Hollatz, 75, of Barrington, died, March 29, 2014, at home surrounded by family.
He was born on January 31, 1939 to Alfred and Edna Hollatz, in Chicago.
Don was a proud American and a member of the local Pipefitters Union 597 for over 50 years.
Don is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joan (nee Roeder); children, Mike (Jennifer) Hollatz, Tom (Chriss) Hollatz and Bob (JoAnne) Hollatz; grandchildren, Bill, Beth, Bridget, Aaron, Sarah and Brian Hollatz.
He was preceded in death by his three brothers, and his parents.
Visitation will be held from 3-9p.m., Tuesday, April 1, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, (Lake-Cook Rd.) Barrington, IL 60010.
Funeral service will be held at 10a.m., Wednesday, April 2, at the funeral home, where there will be a second visitation held one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be held at Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago following the service.
