Donald Kudzma

Donald R. Kudzma, 88, of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May, 5, 2022 from natural causes.

Donald was born in Rockford, IL on April 6, 1934, the son of George and Edna Kudzma. Donald attended Rockford schools and was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois. Donald and his life partner, Nicholas Galatte, were together for more than 57 years and were happily married on August 17, 2014.

Donald and Nick were co-owners of The Flower Cart, Inc. in Chicago prior to their retirement. Donald and Nick loved to travel, exploring Europe and visiting many locations throughout the world.

He is survived by his husband, Nicholas Galatte, nephews, Steven (Jacqui) Kudzma, Thomas (Kate) Kudzma, Timothy (Karen) Kudzma; and niece, Ann (Stacey Reedy) Macias.

A private family celebration of Donald’s life will be held at a later date.
