Donald P. Lydon

Donald Lydon was born May 3, 1933 in Chicago.  He passed away peacefully at his home in Lake Barrington January 5, 2019.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Donna (Stephen) Turk, and Kathy (Mike) Rickerson; grandchildren, Morgan, Kelly, and Gavin;  siblings, Patrick (Jeanine) Lydon, and Loretta Lydon; and was the beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Maria; siblings, Mel, Dolores, and Corrine Lydon; and his parents.

Visitation will be 3-9pm Wednesday, January 9 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake Cook Rd), Barrington.  Prayers will be said at the funeral home at 9:30am Thursday followed by procession to church.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10am Thursday, January 10 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 135 S. Buesching Road, Lake Zurich.  Burial will follow in St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Don’s name may be made to Little Sisters of the Poor, St. Joseph Home in Palatine, 80 W. Northwest Highway, Palatine IL 60067.
