Donald Ross Jr

Donald L. Ross, Jr., 53 of Crystal Lake, entered eternal life on April 1, 2010 in Woodstock after a courageous battle with melanoma. He was born July 13, 1956 in Elgin to Donald L. Sr., and Lenora Lee (nee Boyd) Ross. In 1974 he graduated from Irving Crown High School in Carpentersville. For more than 30 years, he worked for Graftek Press/Brown Printing. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and attending his children?s sporting events, but spending time with his family brought him the greatest joy. His survivors include his beloved wife Lynda M. (nee Zoiss) Ross whom he married on June 14, 1992 in McHenry; his cherished children, Derrick V., Tyler E., and Jordan R. Ross, all of Crystal Lake; his adored grandsons, Cameron and Connor Ross; his loving father; his dear sister, Linda (Randy) Blank; and devoted niece and nephew, Shawn Bellanca and Jennifer Schild. He was preceded in death by his mother. The visitation will be held on Monday, April 5, from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 8 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. Pastor Larry Rubeck will officiate. Interment will be private. Memorials in his name may be sent to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington IL 60010.
