Donald R. Weyrauch, 79, of Crystal Lake, passed away on Thursday, May 13, 2010. On July 14, 1930 he was born to George and Harriette (nee Danielson) Weyrauch in Chicago. Donald graduated from Maine East Township High School in 1948. On January 27, 1951 he married Viola (nee Ripani) in Forest Park, IL. He worked for Thelen Sand and Gravel for many years, retiring in 1998. In the 1960's and 70's, he enjoyed stock car racing, and was an avid NASCAR fan, following it for many years. He was a man who enjoyed the simple pleasures in life which included daily visits with his mother until her passing in 2006 and sitting on his porch watching cars pass by. He loved going with Viola to their trailer in the Dells and spending time with great supportive friends. He also found enjoyment in following his grandchildren?s sports. His survivors include his beloved wife of more than 59 years, Viola; his loving children Don (Lynne) Weyrauch, of New Palestine, IN, Diane (Tim) Abney of San Bernardino, CA, Denise duChemin of Nottingham, NH, Debbie (Steve) Golbeck of Crystal Lake, and Danette (Stan) Ross of Wonder Lake; cherished grandchildren Julie Sund, Justin, Jayme, Joel, and Jessica Weyrauch, Blaine, Bill, and Amanda Abney, Matt and Mark duChemin, Nick Priegnitz, Steve and Emily Golbeck, Ryan, Kaylee, Abby, Joe, and Ben Ross; 11 dear great grandchildren; siblings Robert Weyrauch, Karen (Bill) Kasper, Gayle Stoller, and Ardie Warnimont; sisters- and brothers-in-law Ann & Hank Stawarski, Ray & Rosemary Thelen, Al & June Ripani; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Harriette Weyrauch. The visitation will be at 10am until the 11am Memorial Mass, Monday, May 17 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake.
