Doris Laudicina

Doris A. Laudicina, 71, died Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012, at her home in Crystal Lake after a long illness.

She was born September 11, 1940 to Mary and Edward Burczyk of Menomonee Falls, WI.

Doris studied English at Marquette University in Milwaukee, where she met her husband of 52 years, Jay Laudicina. They were married on September 17, 1960.

Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to many. Her smile was infectious. She was an excellent bridge player, an avid golfer, loved to garden and spend time with her family - especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Jay and her three children Jill Wyatt, Laurie (and Tom) Fleck and Cheryl (and Scott) Bigney. She has six grandchildren: Justin and Jenna Wyatt, Ryan and Reagan Fleck, and Christopher and Carrine Bigney, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Doris is survived by two sisters, Mariette Eilbes and Karen Blau, and brother Charlie Burczyk.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary, her father Edward and brother Nick.

Visitation will be 10am until the time of the funeral mass at 11am Saturday, June 30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake, IL. Interrment will be private.
