The funeral service for Doris E. Lutsch, 77, of Barrington, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Davenport Family funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, where the family will be receiving friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Born September 2, 1932 in Chicago, she passed away peacefully April 7, 2010 in Barrington. Burial will be in Irving Park Cemetery, Chicago. Doris graduated from Schurz High School in Chicago in 1950 followed by Northern Illinois University. She received her Masters Degree from Northwestern University. She taught in Europe for a year and was a teacher in Chicago for over 35 years. She enjoyed singing in several choirs and was a soloist at the First Church of Christ, Scientist where she was a member. Doris loved music and art. Survivors include her brother Edward (Laura) Lutsch, nephews Eric and Brent Lutsch, and grand-nieces Kaylee and Bethany Lutsch. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Emmaritta (nee Mueller) Lutsch. Memorials may be made to the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 421 E. Main Street, Barrington, IL, 60010.
