Doris May (Hildreth) Mulvihill

Doris Mulvihill, of Barrington passed away peacefully March 16, 2018. She was born on March 17,1935 in Parkersburg, WV to Charles and Margaret Hildreth.

Doris was a Eucharistic minister at St. Anne Catholic Church and served as a volunteer at Good Shepherd Hospital for many years. She was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force where she served in Biloxi, MS during the Korean War era.

Doris was an avid golfer, enjoying the great outdoors as evidence by her beautiful gardens, and travelling the world with her husband, Jim. She enjoyed a wide variety of crafts, including stained glass and oil painting.

On February 12, 1994, Doris was united in marriage to Jim Mulvihill; they celebrated 23 years of marriage until his passing in November 2017.

Doris will be deeply missed by her loving children, Cassandra (the late Ralph) Intagliata, Stephan (Margaret) Burks; grandchildren, Nicole Intagliata, Danielle Burks Mack and Stephanie Burks Adkins; grandchildren by marriage, Rob, Rick and Rebecca and their adoring children; 5 great-grandchildren; sister, Caroline (Leo) Shaw; she is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Camille and Russ.

In addition to her husband, Jim, she was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Burks; her parents, and her brother Sonny.

Visitation will be 10am until the funeral service at 12pm, Friday, March 23 at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Cemetery, Palatine.
