Dorothy Holvay

Dorothy Esther Holvay, 89, of Crystal Lake, passed away January 24, 2014.
She was born February 3, 1924 in Birkenhead, England to Frederick and Emily Eckley. On August 30, 1950 Dorothy would marry Ralph Holvay after his service in WWII and would share 59 years of marriage until Ralph’s passing in 2010.

Dorothy will be missed by her three sons, Stephen Holvay, Gregory (Nancy) Holvay, and Timothy Holvay; her grandchildren, Jason (Jana) , Jessica, and Andria (Logan) Risley; great-grandsons, Hunter, Chace, and Ryder; brother, Brian Eckley; and sister, Beryl Lamett.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and loving husband, Ralph.

A brief memorial visitation will take place on what would be Dorothy’s 90th birthday, February 3, 2014 from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 647 Dundee Ave, Barrington, IL 60010.
