Dorothy Kroll

Dorothy E. Kroll, 91, of Lake Barrington, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2023.

Dorothy was born on February 17, 1932 in Medford,WI to Stephen and Sophie Sajdak and spent her childhood on a farm. In her youth, she was active in the 4-H Club and enjoyed spending her time with her longtime friend, Margie, in the Diamond Lake area in Wisconsin.

On October 26, 1957, she married Edward Kroll at St. Hedwig's Church in Chicago, IL; together they celebrated 63 beautiful years of marriage until his passing in 2020. Dorothy was an avid gardener, enjoyed flower arranging and loved to cook and bake. She volunteered her time in the Mother's Club at Gordon Tech High School. Above all she loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren and boating on the Fox River Chain.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Dennis of Crystal Lake and Robert (Jeannine) of Island Lake; grandchildren, Jeremy (Taylor) and Lexie (Gage),her dogs, Mitzi and Dolly; and grand-dogs Zoe and Mia.

In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 9 AM until the funeral service at 11 AM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave Crystal Lake. Burial will follow at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
