Douglas William Bible

Douglas William Bible, age 46, passed away on Saturday August 21, 2021.

Douglas was born on August 20, 1975 in Arlington Heights, IL. He graduated from Rolling Meadows High School in 1993 and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving four years of active duty. He then entered Eastern Illinois University where he graduated with a degree in History and also served in the National Guard. After a postgraduate study in American History, he was employed by Yaskawa America Inc. Doug sang in school and church choirs and especially enjoyed singing in Chicago Master Singers for the past ten years. He volunteered for USO and Habitat for Humanity. An avid reader, he also enjoyed hiking, swimming, and cross-country skiing.

Survived by his loving parents, William and Suzanne (nee Schurmeier) Bible; sister, Lise; aunts, Louise Johnson and Sally Jensen; as well as numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by his grandparents Muriel and Frank Bible, Ruth and Frederick Schurmeier; and uncle, David Jensen.

A memorial visitation for Douglas will be held from 1pm until the time of the memorial service at 2pm on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021 at Barrington United Methodist Church, 98 IL-62, Barrington, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Chicago Master Singers or Barrington United Methodist Church.
