Dylan Michael Balogh

Dylan Michael Balogh, 22, of North Barrington passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 28, 2017. He was born in Lake Forest, IL on April 15, 1995 to Michael and Joanne (nee Capasso).

Dylan will be deeply missed by his loving parents; his brothers, Ryan (Jorie) and Zack; niece, Landrie; uncles, Joseph, Anthony (Penny), and Daniel (Diane) Capasso, Marty (Carl) Balogh; cousins, Michael Capasso, Anthony (Tammy) Capasso, Nicole (Brett) Nix, Paul (Lisa) Storost and Lisa Capasso; and by his beloved dogs, Lucky and Champ. He is also survived by many loving friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Giro Joe and LaVerne Capasso and Helen and Martin Balogh, and by his aunt JoAnn Capasso. Dylan was a kind and gentle soul -- always putting others ahead of himself, and always striving to make everyone around him feel comfortable.  He loved all sports, most notably baseball and his Chicago Cubs.  At the time of his death he lived in Wrigleyville so he could be close to the ballpark and to Loyola University, where he was pursuing a degree in business.

He loved to compete in sports and to be among family, and particularly enjoyed playing 12 inch softball with a group of lifelong friends from his grade school and high school years.  Among the many qualities that endeared him to everyone he met were his loyalty and his genuine concern for others.  His infectious smile could light up a room.  Dylan lived with honor and integrity and put his all into everything he tried to accomplish throughout his life.

Visitation will be, Wednesday, November 1, from 3 PM until 9 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 2, at 11 AM at Lutheran Church of the Atonement, 909 E. Main St., Barrington where family will receive guests from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Burial will be private.
