Earl E. Billman, 89, of East Troy, WI, formerly Barrington, IL, passed away peacefully January 21, 2022 with his wife and son at his side. Born September 12, 1932 in the southeastern Illinois town of Newton, Earl grew up on a farm, which instilled his ethics of hard work and grit.
Earl proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, after which he started his career with First Federal Bank (later Citicorp). Earl married Alice Herman on June 9, 1962 after which they moved to Barrington to start their life together and raise their family.
Throughout his life, Earl cherished the outdoors, spending his time hunting, fishing, gardening and beekeeping. He volunteered much of his time to 4-H, The Knights of Columbus and The American Legion. St Anne’s Catholic Church was central to Earl and Alice’s life together.
Earl is survived by his wife, children Mike (Vonda Young) Billman, Jim Billman, Dan Billman (Special Friend Kelly O’Mara), Suzanne Billman, and John Billman (Jonna Froelich). He is also survived by his brother Jack (Joan) Billman, Cindy (Ron) Murphy and 2 grandchildren.
Friends may gather on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10:30 am until the time of Funeral Mass at 11 amat Saint Anne Catholic Community, 120 Ela St. (Corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.) in Barrington, IL. A luncheon will follow immediately after mass.
