Earl Robert La Rue, Jr., 83 of Cary was born November 29, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois and passed way Wednesday, December 12, 2012 in Inverness.
Bob proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean conflict, earning several service medals.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Maureen (nee Bailey), whom he married on February 20, 1954; children, Kevin (Chris) La Rue, Karen (Mike) Wanner, Darlene (Bob) Trocchio, Margaret (Steve) Anenen, Regina Beaulieu, Kenneth (Laura) La Rue, Robert (Carol) La Rue, and Laura (Fred) Roediger; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Robert Sr. and Rose La Rue and brothers, Donald and James.
Visitation will be 3-8pm Friday, December 14 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am Saturday, December 15 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176) Crystal Lake, with visitation at the church from 10am until the time of the mass. Interment will be private.
