Born July 21, 1925 in Chicago to Edward J. and Elena Barrett, he passed away peacefully Thursday, February 7, 2013 in Crystal Lake.
Edward is survived by his wife of 65 years, Helen; children, Bruce (late Maureen), Mark (Mary), Paul (Charlene), and Todd (Nancy); grandchildren, Jennifer, Robert, Natalie, Laurie, Elizabeth, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Matthew, and Kate; and brother Eugene (late Genevieve) Barrett.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Peter.
Memorial mass will be celebrated at 11am Saturday, February 23 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. Visitation will be 10am until the time of the mass at the church. Interment will be private.
