Barrington, Illinois,Edward J. Butzow, 95 of Barrington, previously of Faribault, Minnesota. Chapel committal service will take place at 9:30a.m. Thursday Feb. 17 at Ridgewood Memorial Park, 9900 N. Milwaukee Ave, Des Plaines followed by a memorial service at 11a.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 720 Dundee Ave, Barrington IL. Born March 21, 1915 in Glenview, IL, passed away Feb. 14, 2011 in Barrington, surrounded by his family. Edward was the beloved husband for 50 years to the late Marion (1991), loving father of Carolyn (Jim) Pizzica, Marsha (George) Davis, and Kenneth (Linda) Butzow, dear grandfather of Kelly, Seth, Carrie, Christopher, Benjamin, and Bethany, great-grandfather of Hannah, Jillian, Samuel, and Rylee, and cherished brother of Edna Yehl, Adeline von der Linden, and Arthur Butzow. Edward was a WWII Army veteran and was very active in the Lutheran Church. He worked at Glenview post office from 1945-1977 and was Postmaster there from 1972 until 1977.
