Edward Michael Dicks, 48, of Crystal Lake, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014, in Centegra Hospital, Woodstock.
He was born December 31, 1965, in Oak Park, to Joseph and Maxine (nee Siwek) Dicks.
In addition to his parents, Joseph and Maxine, Edward is survived by his siblings, Joseph Dicks, Jr. and Diana Valinskas; nephews and niece, Joey Dicks and Sophia and Dominic Valinskas; and aunt, Christine Siwek.
He was preceded in death by aunt, Genevieve Shell.
The visitation will be today, Sunday, December 21, from 3-8 p.m., at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake.
Visitation will also be held Monday, December 22, at the funeral home from 9 a.m., until the time of transfer prayers at 10 a.m., with a procession to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake for a 10:30 a.m., Mass of Christian Burial. Monsignor Daniel Hermes will be the celebrant. Burial will follow in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.
