Edward “Eddie” M. Nadeau, 58, of Crystal Lake, went home to be with his Lord on August 28, 2016. He was born in Chicago on September 12, 1957 to Edward C. and Rosemary (nee Weber) Nadeau.
On July 7, 1979 he married the love of his life, Mary Jo Shanahan. They lived and worked in Plano, TX for fourteen years before moving to Crystal Lake in 1996.
Before Mary Jo came into his life, Eddie’s first love was his 1971 Olds Cutlass, affectionately known as Old Gold. Eddie restored “her” the first of many times when he was eighteen. Old Gold was a huge part of Eddie’s life and you could say they took good care of each other.
Eddie was a dog lover and truly enjoyed all his dogs over the years. Since retiring a few years ago, he especially loved his dog, Sam.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo; father, Edward C. Nadeau; sisters, Jackie Nadeau and Pattie (Brad) Salter; brother, Robert (Nanette) Nadeau; brother-in-law, Robert (MaryAnn) Shanahan; very special nieces and nephews, Mike, Stefanie, Tim, Genevieve, Katie, Molly, and Bridget; and great-nephews, Mikey, Matt, and Mason.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary.
Services for Eddie will be held privately.
