Memorial and Celebration of Life for Edward “Buddy” Phillips, 86, will be from 2-7pm on Saturday, November, 9th, at the family home in Barrington. Military Honors presentation at 3pm. Born March 3, 1938, in Curtin, West Virginia, he entered into glory on Friday, November 1, 2024, at home in Barrington.

Buddy dedicated his life to the Lord, his wife Linda, his 2 children, his 2 granddaughters and his great-granddaughters. He was a proud, hard working employee of American Airlines for 33 years, where he gained many life-long friends. His favorite place to be, was at home working around his property, caring for his horses, alpacas and many, many other animals throughout his 42 years on his little farm in Barrington. 

Survivors include his children, R.D. (spouse, Cheri) Phillips of Crystal Lake and Georgine “Gina” Phillips-Elwell of Barrington. Two granddaughters, Alicia Elwell of Barrington and Brooke Phillips of Cary. Two great-granddaughters, Kayla Stout of Barrington and Alexa Marie of Texas. His siblings Ellen Coleman of Indiana, Phyllis (spouse, J.C.) Johnson, Dale Phillips and Mark Phillips, all of West Virginia. And many cousins, nieces, nephews, numerous other family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Edith Phillips. His sister Charlotte Boatwright and his brother Gary Phillips both of West Virginia. His brother Richard Gibson.
