Edward Rindfleisch

Edward James Rindfleisch, 84, of Algonquin, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Good Shepherd Hospital, Cuba Township, IL. He was born February 10, 1932, in Mosinee, WI., to Otto and Katherine (Schantz) Rindfleisch. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Janice (Altenburg) Rindfleisch whom he married on October 16, 1954.
Survivors include his children, Randolph (Suzanne) Rindfleisch, Cary; Michael (Lisa) Rindfleisch, Bend, OR; Lynn (Grant) Elliott, Oshkosh, WI; and Steven (Lynn) Rindfleisch, Wildwood. He had nine grandchildren, Douglas (Ellee) Rindfleisch, Mchenry; Monica (Perry) Shore, Oakwood Hills; Max Rindfleisch, Cary; Thomas Rindfleisch, Cary; Jennifer Rindfleisch, Seattle, WA; Hans Rindfleisch, Bend, OR; Dennis Latimer, East Dundee, Andrew Rindfleisch, Wildwood; and Angela Rindfleisch, Boulder, CO; and five great-grandchildren, Brenna Latimer-Elliott, Oliver Latimer; Ryker Reif, Scarlet Rindfleisch, and Caleb Shore. He is also survived by three siblings Annie Pecha, Frank (Carlene) Rindfleisch and Patty (Emil) McGowan.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Irene Rindfleisch, Bill Rindfleisch, Otto Rindfleisch, Arthur Rindfleisch, Lillian James, Marie Castona, and Helen Geoffrey.
He was a member of the Wisconsin National Guard and worked in the trucking industry. His hobbies included bingo, cribbage and playing the Lottery. He loved to watch sports of any kind, especially the Green Bay Packers.
The visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Davenport Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake, IL. Interment will be at Windridge Memorial Park, 7014 S. Rawson Bridge Rd, Cary, IL.
