Edward William Wiloff, 81, of Crystal Lake died Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Crystal Pines Nursing Home, Crystal Lake. He was born March 20 1930 in Chicago to the late Emil and Eleanor (nee Heinle) Wiloff. He married Beverly Paster on May 7, 1955. Mr. Wiloff was a graduate of Lane Tech High School, served in the US Navy and Army, was a Korean War veteran, and went on to teach training classes in the Army Reserves. He retired from the Northbrook Post Office, where he had been a letter carrier for 38 years. He was an avid White Sox Fan, a former little league baseball coach at St. Mary?s Catholic School in Buffalo Grove, and enjoyed pinochle and horseshoes. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Edward Michael (Brenda), Paul (Linda), and Carl (Cora) Wiloff and Ann (Paul) Olson; grandchildren, Kayleen Wiloff, Christina (Donald) Langlois, Jillian (fiancé Nathan) Wiloff, Ashley and Aaron (fiancée Amy)Wiloff, Brianna Olson, and Andrew and Peter Kane; and great-grandchildren, Ava and Jeffrey Langlois. The visitation will be from 4-8:30 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2011, at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at St. Mary?s Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road (at the corner of Lake-Cook Road), Buffalo Grove. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Wiloff's name may be made to the Salvation Army Crystal Lake, 200 W. Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
