Edward J. Wolff, 68,of Cary was born in Chicago on June 24, 1951.  He passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2020.

He married Christine Kish on October 26, 1974 in Chicago and together they raised two kids, Scott and Kristen, in Roselle.

Music has always been a big part of Ed’s life.  As a teenager, he was the drummer in multiple bands until he had to sell his drums to buy his Gremlin, his first car.

Ed loved the Beatles and enjoyed playing along to their music with one of his many guitars crafted by his grandfather.  He was an encourager of both of his children’s musical talents including during their years in the high school marching band and continued to be their cheerleader in life.

Upon Ed’s retirement after 25 years as a credit manager at Volkswagen, he enjoyed traveling with Chris especially to visit Scott and Elise in Florida.  He had more time to spend with Kristen and her family here in Cary.

Ed became involved in ministries at Living Grace Community Church.  His favorite was serving as a greeter at AWANA alongside his adorable grandchildren.

Ed was one of the kindest men you would ever meet. He was the anchor of his big extended Wolff Family.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Christine; children, Scott (Elise Metzger) of Tampa, FL and Kristen (Earl) Past of Cary; grandchildren, Oliver and Lucy; mother, Mary Lou Wolff (Bill Briant); siblings, Christine Wolff, Susan Wolff, Patricia (Jose) Solis, Amy (Pablo) Torres, Joseph Wolff, Matthew (Elizabeth) Wolff,  and Elizabeth (Nicholas) Speziale; and many nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Wolff and his sister, Eileen Wolff.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date when we are able to gather again at his church, Living Grace, in Cary.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the Cary Grove Food Pantry where Ed faithfully served.   See address below.
