The Mass of Christian Burial for Edwin “Eddie” P. Olivera,50, of Algonquin, will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 845 W Main St., West Dundee, where he will lie in state from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Rd.) Barrington.
Born Aug 26,1962, in Chicago, Eddie passed away Nov. 29, 2012 at Pepper Family Hospice in Barrington.
Eddie worked in Customer Service for American International Tile Company in Elk Grove Village for 23 years. He enjoyed bowling, traveling and served as an Eucharistic Minister at St. Margaret Mary Parish in Algonquin.
Survivors include his mother, Violeta; brother, Art (Karen) Olivera of Algonquin; nieces, Elizabeth and Emily Olivera; aunts and uncles, Eddie (Zenny) Pancho, Armand (Josie) Pancho, Melinda (Manuel) Gonzalez, Joey (Lynne) Pancho, Meynard (Karen) Pancho, Nancy (Ricky) Panaligan, Feliza, Carol and Butch (Xenia) Olivera, Robert (Sandy) Olivera, Douglas (Linda) Olivera, and Frank (Remy) Olivera; and many loving cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edwin S. Olivera.
