Edwin James Raica

Edwin J. Raica passed away peacefully February 28, 2021 with his loving family by his side.  He was born June 1, 1928 in Chicago to Michael and Marie Raica.

Edwin is survived by his former wife, Mary Raica; children, Larry (Pat Fantauzzi) Raica, Mary A. (Bill) Faifer, Cathy (Tom) Comer, Patricia (Dave) Smith, David (Sue) Raica, and Rosemarie Raica; grandchildren, Candace, Aaron, and Sonya Raica, Justin, Rachael, Daniel, and Stephen Faifer; Deborah Wilde, Melanie (Paul) Wall, Amy (Jared) Flowers, Michael (Melissa), Brandon (Kellie), Ryne, and Caitlin Smith, and Nathaniel Raica; great grandchildren, Rebecca and Catherine Faifer, Tucker and Taydum Wall, Landon Whitlock, Liz Smith, and Henry Flowers.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Frankie, Ed, Robert, and Eleanor; and his parents.

Visitation will be held, Wednesday, March 3rd, at 9 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014 followed by procession to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake for the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Windridge Memorial Park, Cary, Illinois.
