Eileene La Valle

Eileene La Valle was born July 22, 1928 in Chicago to James and Mary (nee Cole) Mangan.She fell asleep in death on April 5, 2025 at the age of 96.

She is survived by her sons, Armand (Janeane) La Valle, Alan (Deborah) La Valle, Arthur (Lisa) La Valle and her daughter Eileen (Robert) Johnson; her grandchildren Alan Jr., Justin and Melissa La Valle, Ryan and Chelsea La Valle, Tanner and Kaylee Johnson; great-granddaughter Sienna La Valle; her sisters, Fern Shannon, Mary Tait and Patricia Oldfield. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, along with many others who helped Eileene, especially these past few difficult years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Armand, her sisters Loretta Ring, her identical twin sister Noreene Kiddie, Myrna Logan, Shirley Rhodes, her brothers, Jack and James Mangan and by her grandson, Jeffery La Valle.

After the first date, Armand talked to his sister and said, “I met the girl I am going to marry.” Armand married Eileene on December 10, 1952.She was always loving, cheerful and hospitable to any family, friend or neighbor. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 4 PM until 7:30 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich, IL 60047. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Church, 33 S. Buesching Road. Lake Zurich, IL 60047. All are invited to go directly to church. Private Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Eileene’s name may be made in the care of her son, Arthur La Valle, 20223 N. Wallingford Lane, Deer Park, IL 60010, or to Chelsea La Valle's Venmo. These funds will go to the caregivers at Westbrook Senior Living, for their loving attention given to Eileene.
