Elaine Cwik

Crystal Lake, Illinois,Elaine "Lynn" Cwik nee Gurke, age 82, of Crystal Lake, formerly of Algonquin, passed away at home surrounded by her family on November 7, 2009. She was born on May 10 1927, in Chicago. Lynn was a wonderful homemaker, beautiful woman who adored her family, loved gardening, and fishing. She is survived by her beloved husband of 18 years, William S. Cwik, whom she married on June 15, 1991; loving children Sharon (Scott) Kulovsek, Sandra (Jack) Little, and Mark (Denise) Lucas; cherished grandchildren Mary Beth Krause, Andrea (Drake) Cody, Eric Krause, Ryan (Fawn) Little, Justin Kulovsek, Kasey (Steve) Wiskin, Samantha Lucas, Spencer Lucas, and Dayton Lucas; dear great grandchildren Rayne Cody, Shaelee Lucas, and Scarlett Wiskin; adored siblings Jacklyn Douglas, Charlene (Bill) Mathias, Diane Irmen, Dale (Mary Ellen) Gurke; many nieces and nephews; and dearest friend Mary Dickey. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Mary Gurke nee Zima; grandchild Stephen Little; Brothers Robert and Charles Gurke, and sister in law Mary Sorentino. The visitation for Lynn will be held on Tuesday from 3-8pm at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Avenue (Rte 176) Crystal Lake. A Celebration of Life service will be held for Lynn on Wednesday at 10am at the funeral home. Msgr. Daniel Hermes will officiate. Interment will be private.
