The Mass of Christian burial for Eleanor Scamardo (nee Lombardo),92, of Harwood Heights will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 5, 2012 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 N Ela St. (corner of Franklin and Ela Sts.), Barrington with visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of mass. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.
Eleanor was born July 25, 1919 in Chicago to Ross and Grace (Inzera) Lombardo and passed away peacefully July 2, 2012 in Barrington.
She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Carmen Scamardo; daughter, Arlene (the late Roger) Lynch; grandchildren, Mary (Robert) Gemeinhardt, Kathryn (John) Kurzawa, Carey Lynch, Deneen (Sal) Evola and Anthony (Shelley) Scamardo; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Koster, her parents, a sister and 2 brothers
