Elias Z. Karoumi, 80, of Barrington, died, Saturday, December 21, 2013, in Lake Zurich.
He was born on February 13, 1933, to Zakaria and Rajeena Karoumi, in Baghdad, Iraq.
Elias is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Juliet Karoumi; children, Vivian Mattosha, John (Heather) Karoumi, Tony (Aerenia) Karoumi, and Allan Karoumi; grandchildren, Matthew Mattosha, Nicholas and Ava Karoumi; sisters, Karema Kassir and Janet Karoumi, many nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jerjis Karoumi; and sister, Jamoli Marogil.
Visitation will be from 4-8p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street, Barrington, IL 60010.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11a.m., December 27, 2013, at St. Anne Catholic Church, 120 Ela Street (Corner of Fraklin and Ela Streets), Barrington, IL 60010. There will be a second visitation held one hour prior to the mass at church.
Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington following mass.
