Elisabeth "Lisa" (Gassner) Midunsky

Elisabeth “Lisa” G. Midunsky, a resident of Tower Lakes for the last 50 years, passed away peacefully at her home on January 20, 2019 at the age of 89. She was born June 23, 1929 in Germany to the late Josef and Berta Gassner.

Lisa married the love of her life, Hans, on December 23, 1955 in Alexandria, Virginia. They celebrated 61 years of marriage until his passing in 2017.
She was later employed with United Airlines as an accountant. She retired from United Airlines after 30 years of service.
Mostly, Lisa truly enjoyed spending her time with her family.

Lisa will be deeply missed by her daughters, Linda (Richard) Stienstra and Michelle (Steve) Kohlhagen; grandchildren, Richard (Denise), Trisha (Bjorn), Derek (Lisa), Carl (Cindy), and Brittany (Trevor); and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place Thursday, January 24, 2019, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 149 W Main St (Lake-Cook Rd) Barrington. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington.
