Elizabeth Hoover

Elizabeth Terry Hoover, 91, of Barrington, died, March 7, 2013, at home.She was born on September 4, 1922, to John R. and Ouida Terry in Cartersville, Georgia. Terry had many passions in life, among them golf, tennis, music, travel, and reading. She was fortunate to be able to travel the world with both Bob and Fred. She devoted time to many organizations over the years including The Fortnightly Club, Women's Board - Chicago Symphony Orchestra, PEO, and Union League Club.Elizabeth is survived by her loving children, Stephen E. (Meg) Ther, John R. Ther; grandchildren, R.Kennison Ther and Christopher J. (Jennifer) Ther; great grandchildren, Sara Ther, Laura Ther and Alisha Ther; brother, C. Edward (Nell) Terry; sisters-in-law, Irene (Phillip) Watt and Linda (John) Terry; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, E. Robert Ther; second husband, Fred W. Hoover; her brothers, Robert and John and sister, Martha. Burial will be held privately. Memorials may be made to Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, www.lawrence.edu/conservatory
