Elizabeth "Betty" Stange

Betty May Stange, 83, of Crystal Lake, peacefully passed away Thursday, February 16, 2012 at her home.

She was born on May 3, 1928 to Frank and Bessie Svejcar, in Crystal Lake.

Betty was born, raised, and lived on the same block in Crystal Lake her entire life. She was active in TOPS and served several terms as the president. Betty enjoyed the company of her cats Punk and Pewee. When she was a younger woman she worked for the local School Dist. #47. She was an excellent wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Betty will be missed by many.

Betty is survived by her loving children, Craig A. (Anna) Stange, George R. (Linda) Stange, John H. Stange, Terri L. Stange, and Jeffrey W. (Kerri Sue) Stange; grandchildren, Annalisa, Brandi, Jackson, Benjamin, and Henry Stange; great grandson, Tyler Sharp; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years and brothers, Frank Svejcar, Al Svejcar, Joe Svejcar, and John Svejcar.

Visitation will be held from 4-7p.m., Monday, February 20 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake, IL. Burial will be held at privately Crystal Lake Memorial Park.
