Ellie Davidson

Ellie Shaw Davidson, of Wilmette and formerly of Evanston, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 4, 2015 at the age of 83.

Ellie received her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from National College in Evanston. She was a Nursery School teacher for many years before becoming the Director of Trinity Nursery School. After retirement, Ellie and husband Ted spent time traveling and living in Florida for a short time. She eventually became a devoted and loving caregiver to her husband, Ted.

In addition to her husband of sixty years, Ted, Ellie is survived by her children, Susan (Tom) Davidson Murdock, Tom Davidson, and Peggy Davidson; grandchildren, Lindsay Murdock and Andrew (Sara) Murdock; and great-granddaughters, Saida and Makenza.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Peter Davidson; and brother, David Shaw.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 9, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at The Garlands of Barrington, Center for Performing Arts, 1000 Garlands Lane, Barrington, IL 60010.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Trinity Nursery School, 1024 Lake Ave, Wilmette, IL 60091.
