Elsie Avila Dandurand,98, of Palatine, passed away, August 12,2012, at the Rosewood Care Center in Inverness.
She was born on August 5,1914, to Henry and Helen Becker, in Stamford, Connecticut.
Elsie is survived by her children, George (Marie) Avila of Arizona and Elaine (George) McClarity of Palatine; grandchildren, Brian Avila and Stacey Ann (Steve) Russow and the late Scott A. (Barbara) McClarity , and the late Mark Avila; great-grandchildren, Andrew McClarity, Kevin McClarity, Samantha Russow, Renee, Nancy, Danny, and Tina Avila; several great-great grandchildren and niece, Dorothy Poling of Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Avila and second husband, Leo Dandurand.
Memorial visitation will be 10am until the time of the memorial service at 11am Saturday September 8, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St, Barrington.
