The Mass of Christian Burial for Elynor J. Dencker (nee Igas),85, formerly of Barrington, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, December 15, at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin Street), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30 a.m., until the time of Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Palatine.
Born August 4,1926, in Chicago, she passed away December 10,2011, at her home.
There will also be visitation from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington.
Elynor was a draftswoman at Marsh Instruments in Barrington and had worked as a receptionist at Kemper and Zurich insurance companies. She loved spending time with her family—especially her great-grandchildren. Elynor enjoyed doing volunteer work for her church and her children’s schools.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (John) Lintner of Cary; granddaughter, Elizabeth(Christopher) Gambardella of Algonquin; and her great-granchildren, Beatrix, Michael, Nathaniel, and Benjamin Gambardella.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl R.; daughter, Diane Wescott; sister, Edythe (Wally) Erler; and parents, John and Mary (nee Miklas).
