The visitation for Emil Sgarbossa,67, will be held Tuesday, March 27, from 4-9 p.m., with a funeral service at 8 p.m., at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Interment will be private.Born October 11,1944, in Chicago to Rita (nee Maffiola) and the late Dominic, he died Friday, March 23,2012, at the Pepper Family Hospice Home, Barrington.He earned his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois. Emil's greatest love in life was cigarettes, which lead to his demise.Emil was a wonderful caretaker to his mother for many years, and a great friend to his brothers.He was a brilliant man, who was open to great discussions, enjoyed gardening, plants, and loved to listen to and collect music.In addition to his mother, survivors include his brothers, Peter (Lois) Sgarbossa of San Mateo, CA, and Joseph (the late Barbara) Sgarbossa of Barrington; and nephew, Michael (Melissa) Sgarbossa of Chandler, AZ.The visitation for Emil Sgarbossa,67, will be held Tuesday, March 27, from 4-9 p.m., with a funeral service at 8 p.m., at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W.
