Ernest "Ernie" Strzempa

Ernest A. Strzempa was born February 3, 1940 in Chicago to Stanley and Sophie Strzempa.  He passed away peacefully at his home March 25, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.

Ernest was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the N.F.L.C.C. National Fishing Club.  He was an avid sports fan, especially the Green Bay Packers and the Chicago White Sox. He loved collecting antique fishing lures; reading; and travelling.  Most of all Ernest loved family gatherings and spending time with his grandchildren.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lorraine; children, Lynnette (Patrick) of Chicago, and Ernie (late Lara) of Elgin; and grandchildren, Kelsey, Kayla, Devin, and Ella.  He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter-in-law, Lara.
