Eugene Moran

Westmont, Illinois,The funeral service for Eugene Moran, 90 of Westmont, will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main Street (Lake-Cook Rd.), Barrington, where the family will be receiving friends from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Father Alvin Johnson will officiate. Burial will be private in the Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Born June 12, 1920 in Kenosha, WI, he passed away January 25, 2011 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. A graduate of IIT, he worked for Naval Ordnance and the EPA as an electrical engineer. He served in the Army during WWII. Survivors include his wife, Carmel Ann, nee Sereno; two children, Joseph (Mary) Moran and Rita (Michael) Paolella; and three grandchildren, Catherine and Timothy Paolella and Matthew Moran. He was preceded in death by his brother, Edward Moran.
