Eugene OBrien

The Mass of Christian Burial for Eugene "Gene" O'Brien, 77, will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, October 13 at St. Anne Church, 120 Ela St. (at the corner of Franklin St.), Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass. Father Jack Dewes will be the celebrant. Burial will be private.

Born December 17,1934 in Oak Park to the late Paul and Alice (nee Duffin) O’Brien, he died Monday, October 8, 2012 at Good Shepherd Hospital, Barrington.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sara "Sally" O'Brien (nee Downs); children, Elizabeth (Michael) Kiewicz of Libertyville, Sharon O'Brien of Crown Point, IN, Mark (Sandra) O'Brien of Chicago, and Steven (Aura) O'Brien of Houston, TX; grandchildren, John (Jenette) and Ann Coghlan, James Kiewicz, David, Michelle, and Laura Parks, and Paul and Erica O'Brien.
