Eunice L. Fuhler passed away peacefully at home February 10, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1932 in Algonquin to Edward and Grace Tegtmeier.
Eunice loved being with her family and friends and was known as the kindest of souls. She graduated from Crystal Lake Highschool in 1950 and was proud of her third generation Crystal Lake heritage.
She was active in Rotary International both as a member and as a host of many exchange students. She enjoyed traveling especially visiting with her relatives in Germany.
She will be deeply missed but we rejoice knowing she is in heaven, and we picture loved ones having welcomed her with warm hugs and perhaps a glass of Chardonnay.
Eunice is survived by her sons, John (Siri) Fuhler, and Thomas Fuhler; grandchildren, Erik, Julia, and Emma Grace Fuhler, Angelica and Jonathan Urquizo, and Tyler Fuhler; great grand daughter, Finleigh Fuhler; and many beloved extended family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, John Fuhler (2006); daughter, Mary Ann Urquizo (2017); and brother, Arthur Tegtmeier.
Visitation will be 5pm-8pm, Monday February 14 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave (Route 176), Crystal Lake. There will also be visitation from 9am until prayers at 11am Tuesday, February 15 followed by procession to St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Ridgefield Road, Crystal Lake.
Memorial donations to your favorite charity, in Eunice's name, would be appreciated.
