Eva Strudeman

Eve E. Strudeman (nee Rolander), 86, a long- time resident of Crystal Lake, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, October 16 at her home at the Atrium Memory Care Facility in Rockford, Illinois.

She was born September 27, 1926, one of five children, to Carl and Eva Rolander. Eve attended Chicago Public School and was a graduate of Parker High School class of '44.

She worked for Illinois Bell Telephone unitl her marriage to Joseph A. Strudeman, June 7. 1956. Eva was blessed with ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren which she truly loved and enjoyed.

She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake. She was very active in church activities and outings and had many friends whom she enjoyed.

Eva was a great lover of life and always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say. She enjoyed Wisconsin vacations, fishing, playing cards, and travel, of which Alaska and Hawaii were her favorites.

Eva is survived by her children, Steven (Cindy) Strudeman, Carol Marunde, and Janet (Chuck) Breiter; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph, brothers Walter and Richard, and sisters Bernice, and Marguerite.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Atrium Memory Care Facility and Transitions Hospice Care of Huntley.

Visitation 3-9pm Friday, October 19 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. Funeral service 10am Saturday October 20 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 178 McHenry Ave, Crystal Lake, with visitation from 9am unti the time of the service. Burial in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Eva's name may be made to Transitions Hospice Care, 12040 Raymond Ct, Huntley, IL 60142.
