Evelyn Feiler Sasak, 102, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2015, with her children at her side. She was born on June 3, 1913, in Peotone, Il, to Theodore and Ida (nee Hageno) Wilke.
A founding member of Burr Ridge United Church of Christ, Evelyn remained a devoted and active member of the church for 50 years. She was noted and revered for her design and sewing skills. Evelyn also loved to do New York Times crossword puzzles and play bridge.
Evelyn will be missed by her children Keith (Linda) Feiler, Karen (William) Schmiel, grandchildren Diane (Tim) Feiler Osswald, Daniel (Marie Kulackoski) Feiler, and great grandchildren Paul and Ruthie Osswald.
She was preceded in death by William Feiler, Stanley Sasak, and her eldest son, Kent Feiler.
An internment service will be held on Friday, October 2, at 1:00 in the Clarendon Hills Cemetery Chapel.
