Barrington, Illinois,The funeral service for Fanchon Gibson (nee McCombs), 79, will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1190 Hicks Rd., Palatine, where there will be visitation from 10 a.m., until the time of service. The Reverend John Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. There will also be visitation from 4-9 p.m., Tuesday, September 21 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. Born December 27, 1930 in Orion, IL she passed away Saturday, September 18, 2010, at her home. Survivors include her children, John Gibson of Barrington, Patty (Jon) Ralph of Manhattan Beach, CA; Mary (Jerry) Burke of Lisle and David (Kristyn) Gibson of Wilmette; grandchildren, Jessie and Jack Ralph and Caroline, Kathryn, and Matthew Gibson; and brother, Grant (Marilyn) McCombs of Rock Island. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Gibson; son, Jeffrey Gibson; and parents, Raymond "Mac" and Rosalie (nee Richardson) McCombs.
