Fay Joanne Fehsenfeld, 87, of Crystal Lake passed away peacefully at home surrounded with love by her family on January 15th, 2022. She was born on September 7, 1934, in Chicago to Harold and Elizabeth Christensen.
On November 2, 1960, Fay was united in marriage to Harold R. Fehsenfeld in Chicago, IL.
Fay enjoyed crossword puzzles and yard work. Some of Fay's very favorite memories were of colorful conversations with her beloved sister and best friend Arleen, also spending time with family and friends and enjoying Manhattans!
In addition to her husband, Fay is survived by her children, Joseph C. (Lisa) Fehsenfeld of Delavan, WI; Lisa B. (Paul) Skorzewski of Sterling, IL; Michael H. (Kathy) Fehsenfeld of Fairhope, AL; grandchildren, Kristen (Ashley) Cooper, Matthew (Hannah) Fehsenfeld, Wesley (Emily) Fehsenfeld, Bradley and Elizabeth Doll, Emily (Jacob) Holder and Katelyn Fehsenfeld, Elizabeth (David) Bostic, and Clara (Nick Holmes) Meechan; great-grandchildren, Caro Elizabeth and Patton Fehsenfeld, Charlotte Fehsenfeld, Caitlin and John Bostic, Caroline and John Cooper, Eden, Valerie and Bridgette Holmes, and her dear friends, Andrea and Maarten Forsyth.
Fay was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Mel (Ina), Ken (Christa), Freeman (Agnes), Alfred (Ray Davenport) Christensen; and her sisters, Ardath (David) Willett and Arleen (Howard) Fehl.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 18, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rte. 176), Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Interment will be private.
