Felix H. Frankowski, Jr., 85, of Woodstock IL, was born August 20, 1932 in Chicago, IL to Felix H. Sr. and Anna (nee Przybylski) Frankowski. After a courageous battle with cancer, he passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the North Chicago, James A. Lovell Federal Healthcare Center.
Felix worked as an Illustrator and Artist before his retirement. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955. Felix enjoyed art, woodworking and his garden.
He is survived by his wife, Diane (nee Mikolay) Frankowski; his children, Dana (Nancy) Frankowski, Dian (Daniel) Dziubinskyj, and Dennis (Christine) Frankowski; his step-children, Tommy Baldauf, Michael (Cynthia) Baldauf, Donna (Todd) Kemp, Jonn (Becca) Baldauf, and Erich Baldauf; his seven grandchildren; and his six step granchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Raymond and wife Sandra (nee Bryant) Frankowski.
The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 15, at 10:30am at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 451 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake.
In lieu of flowers, the Frankowski family has asked that donations be made, in Felix’s name, to the Captain James A. Lovell Federal Health Care Center, specifying the "No Veteran Dies Alone” Hospice program.
