Florence L Beyer, 95, of Woodstock died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at home.
She was born in Hazelhurst, Pennsylvania to Jake and Etta Kuhns. She married Howard Ristow on Nov. 21, 1940 who preceded her in death in 1961. On June 29, 1970 she married Carl Beyer, who preceded her in death in 1984.
Florence worked as an assistant to an Ophthalmologist for many years until her retirement. Her world was her family and whatever they were involved in: baling hay on the farm, delivering foals or puppies, going to horse or dog shows, attending her grandchildren’s school and sporting events, going on cruises with her sister or camping in the motor home - she was in the mix – helping out and cheering us on.
She is survived by her daughter Bobbi Mason of Woodstock; her grandson John Mason of Crystal Lake, her granddaughter Stephanie Dycha of Crystal Lake; her great grandchildren, Kaylee, Natalie, Zachary and Peyton; her sister Mary Moritz of Blacksburg, Virginia; her granddaughter in Law Michelle Mason; and her grandson-in-law, Tom Dycha.
She was preceded in death by her brother Lawrence Kuhns
A remembrance gathering will be held at her home on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 2 pm to 4 pm.
