Florence Emelia Fane, 97, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 16, 2013 in Crystal Lake with her loving family at her side.
She was born on June 20, 1916 to John and Edith Blietz in Belvidere, Il.
Florence was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, and dear friend to many. She was a kind, compassionate soul who brought out the best in everybody.
Florence is survived by her daughter, Carol (Terry) Ernst; grandsons, Terry J. Ernst and Brian Ernst; sister, Irene (the late Glen) Knapp; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Daniel L. Fane; brother, John (late Marge) Blietz; and sister, Edith (late Walter) Schiltz.
The visitation will be 10am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm, Saturday, October 19 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, The Historic Campus, 178 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
Burial will be held Monday, October 21 at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
