Floyd Hartz

Barrington, Illinois,The funeral service for Floyd C. Hartz, 82, will be held at 11 a. m., March 11, 2011 at the Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook Road), Barrington. The Reverend Jeanne Hanson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Barrington. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m., March 10 2011 at the funeral home. Born June 7, 1928, in Barrington, to the late Elmer and Minnie (nee Koch) Hartz, he passed away March 8, 2011 at Midwest Hospice in Skokie. Mr. Hartz retired after working 29 years for the Village of Northbrook sewer and water department. He was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, a lifelong member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Barrington, and enjoyed working with tractors. Survivors include his wife, Audrey (nee Markgraff), whom he married March 6, 1948, in Barrington; daughter, Betty (Joseph) Ravagni of Fox Lake; grandchildren, Lisa (Sean) Byrne of Lindenhurst and Thomas (Brandie) Ravagni of Paddock Lake, Wisc.; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Collin, and Bryce Byrne and Bailey Kehoe and Aubree and Brynley Ravagni. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mr. Hartz?s name may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 401 East Main St., Barrington, IL 60010-4501.
