Frances Glover

Frances was born April 12, 1930 in Lawrenceville, IL to Hubert and Ruby McBride. She passed away peacefully July 5, 2016 in Crystal Lake.

Frances was a lifelong member of Salem United Methodist Church in Barrington where she founded and directed the Bell Choir. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society, a professional trumpet player, and the owner of G & G Glass and Mirror, which she founded in 1986 with her son.

Frances was the beloved wife for 49 years to the late Gerald Glover; loving mother of Cheryl Sjoberg and Michael (Denise) Glover; dear grandmother of Kory (Becky) Sjoberg, Kristi Costa, Kimberly Sjoberg, Ashley Glover, Tyler Glover, and Shawn (Frankie) Glover; and cherished great grandmother of Lacey, Zoey, Braeden, Dean, Conner, and Dia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three siblings.

Visitation will be held from 3pm until 9pm, Monday, July 11 at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 149 W. Main St. (Lake-Cook), Barrington. The Funeral Service will be at 10:30am, Tuesday, July 12 at Salem United Methodist Church,115 W. Lincoln Ave, Barrington, where there will be visitation from 9:30am until the time of the service. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church.
