Frances "Aunt Fran" Heaton

Frances “Aunt Fran” Heaton, 85, of Augusta, GA, formerly of Chicago passed away peacefully on August 19, 2019. She was born on December 11, 1933 in Chicago to the late Martin and Susanna (nee Lang) Geisheimer.
A proud native of Chicago’s northwest side, Fran attended Foreman High School and graduated in 1951 from Jones Commercial High School. She was a pioneer rising through the ranks of the Chicago Advertising community in the 1960's 70's and 80's to become Vice President of Production at BBDO in Chicago for many years until her retirement in 1995.
Fran enjoyed reading, movies and many sports especially when she was cheering on her Chicago Bears. She was a horseback rider and cat lover, won many trophies for bowling, swam almost every day, and enjoyed line-dancing with her friends in Georgia. Family and friends loved her ability to never forget the special occasions of others and for the most beautifully wrapped gifts under our Christmas trees.
Fran will be deeply missed by her partner, Bob Cote; sister, Barbara Carr; nephews, Martin DelGenio, Steven (Debi) DelGenio and William (Carrie) Carr; great-nieces and nephew, Tracy (Fred) Dallmeyer, John, Emily and Kathryn DelGenio, Caitlyn and Madelyn Carr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sue DelGenio; her former husband, Roger (Oakie) Heaton; her niece, Lynda Canavan and great-niece, Christine Canavan.

Visitation will be Thursday, August 22, from 3 PM until 8 PM at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich. Graveside service and interment will be Friday, August 23 at 11 AM at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 Irving Park Rd, Chicago.
