Barrington, Illinois,Services for Dr. Frank E. Jaumot, Jr., are private. Dr. Frank E. Jaumot, Jr of Barrington, IL passed away on August 14, 2010 at the age of 87. Frank is survived by his wife, Jean Hite Jaumot of Barrington, IL, a daughter, Cherie Jaumot Kizer of Lake Barrington, IL, a son, Frank E Jaumot, III of Parkland, FL, and eight grandchildren. Dr. Jaumot was born in Charleston, West Virginia on August 3, 1923 and grew up in Cumberland, MD. He attended Western Maryland College where he earned a B.S. in Physics. In 1951 he earned his PhD in Physics at the University of Pennsylvania where he was an assistant professor in the Physics department until 1956. Concurrently, he was the chief of the physics of metals section at the Franklin Institute Laboratories in Philadelphia. In 1956, Dr. Jaumot joined the Delco Electronics Division of General Motors in Kokomo, IN where he worked in various positions until his retirement in 1984. Frank was very active in the Kokomo community, holding many board positions in groups such as the YMCA, Sagamore Council Boy Scouts, Chamber of Commerce, Kokomo Symphonic Society, and was an active member of the Kokomo Country Club and Grace United Methodist Church Frank & Jean moved to Diamondhead, MS in 1988 to enjoy year round golf. Frank?s community involvement continued including the Diamondhead Community Church, Diamondhead Men?s Golf Association, the Krewe of Diamondhead and the Aloha Club. In 2006, Frank & Jean moved to Barrington, IL where Jean still resides.
